About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an Economic Growth Champion - Agri-Tech, Food & Drink Technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the delivery of the Combined Authority's strategic growth of the Agri-Tech, Food & Drink Technologies sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the growth of the Agri-Tech sector, including identifying funding opportunities and developing partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide a strategic view of Agri-Tech growth potential across the Combined Authority, supporting the implementation and delivery of the Agri-Tech Strategy for the Region.
  • Work with the International Trade and Investment Manager to respond to and support inward investment enquiries from companies or organisations wishing to invest or set up operations in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area.
  • Support the development of a Combined Authority Internationalisation plan across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and support the implementation and delivery of the Internationalisation plan as it relates to the Agri-Tech sector.
  • Support the development of a Combined Authority Innovation plan across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and support the implementation and delivery of the Innovation plan as it relates to the Agri-Tech sector.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in driving business growth and development, particularly in the Agri-Tech sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Agri-Tech sector and its growth potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
