Job Title: Economic Growth Champion - Agri-Tech Sector Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Economic Growth Champion to join our team at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority. As an Economic Growth Champion, you will play a key role in driving the delivery of our strategic growth plans for the Agri-Tech and Food Technologies sector.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and innovation in the Agri-Tech sector
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including local authorities, businesses, and central government departments
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities to support sector growth
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key delivery organisations and stakeholders
  • Provide strategic policy advice to the Combined Authority on Agri-Tech sector growth
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on the review and development of the Agri-Tech Strategy and associated Action Plan
  • Provide a strategic view of Agri-Tech growth potential across the Combined Authority area
  • Work with the International Trade and Investment Manager to identify and secure funding opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, businesses, and central government departments
  • Support the development of a Combined Authority Internationalisation plan and Innovation plan
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in economic growth and development, particularly in the Agri-Tech sector
  • Strong understanding of the Agri-Tech sector and its growth potential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with key stakeholders, including local authorities, businesses, and central government departments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
