About the Role

As a Senior Pharmacovigilance Director at Lifelancer, you will oversee operational excellence and provide strategic leadership to direct reports. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful management of pharmacovigilance systems and processes to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staff, including interviewing, selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, behavioral coaching, and mentoring.
  • Approve courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. Review and approve time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime.
  • Promote all aspects of the organization's Equal Employment Opportunity policy and Affirmative Action Plan. Ensure department adherence to good ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Creatively provide leadership, oversight, and/or technical expertise to business-critical supporting structures.
About You

You must have 15+ years of experience in pharmacovigilance, including 8+ years of management responsibility. Prior success leading and mentoring a highly experienced PV technical team is essential. Experience in developing and implementing a strategic plan to preserve and grow the PV business is also required.

Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of regulatory considerations governing operational areas of accountability and inclusive of GCPs, FDA/ICH guidelines, and other established national and international regulatory authorities.
  • Detailed understanding of the drug development lifecycle spanning clinical trial and post-market authorization.
  • Extensive knowledge of department systems, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, resourcing, and fiscal management.
