About the Role

Change Mental Health is a leading national charity dedicated to supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health challenges. We are seeking a skilled Policy and Public Affairs Advisor to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving mental health support in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a policy and influencing strategy to amplify the voices of people we support and their families.
  • Manage projects related to mental health, focusing on remote and rural communities and addressing health inequalities.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders, including politicians and senior decision makers, to drive positive change.
  • Provide reports and communicate effectively using modern communication tools and social media.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Public Affairs and Communications to ensure a cohesive approach to policy and public affairs.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of remote and rural communities and their service needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with modern communication tools and social media platforms.
  • Valid driving license.
