Sales & Events Executive Role & Responsibilities

About the Role:

The Sales & Events Executive will be responsible for dealing with incoming enquiries, developing future and repeat business, and contributing to the profitability of the Hotel. Key duties include:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To deal with incoming enquiries by phone or email, acknowledging within 3 hours and responding within 24 hours.
  2. To develop future and repeat business, contributing to the profitability of the Hotel.
  3. To negotiate and agree on rates according to Selling Strategies.
  4. To ensure all calls are handled according to Brand Standards.
  5. To proactively work as a member of the team, contributing to maximizing revenue and generating business.
  6. To build relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their needs.
  7. To meet potential clients to show them the Hotel facilities.
  8. To promote all facilities within the Hotel.
  9. To effectively manage the diary.
  10. To identify new accounts and contacts and give sales leads to the proactive team.
  11. To keep departments and clients updated in a timely manner.
  12. To send proposals and contracts to clients in line with Brand Standards.
  13. To develop and maintain excellent product knowledge.
  14. To keep up to date with refurbishment and promotions in the Hotel.
  15. To work and cooperate with the team and other departments, offering support and assistance when necessary.
  16. To maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records and contribute to developing and fine-tuning systems in place.
  17. To consistently review own level of skill and actively identify future personal development and training.
  18. To organize and prioritize work to ensure response time and deadlines are met.
  19. To undertake administration procedures at each stage of the Conference & Banqueting booking.
  20. To contact clients at regular intervals to ensure all of their requirements are met and in accordance with company standards.
  21. To communicate clients requirements both verbally and written via Delphi computer system to all departments within the hotel.
  22. To meet clients, agents, and production companies on site to discuss their requirements and offer professional guidance.
  23. To acknowledge all communication in writing from clients.
  24. To ensure correct forecasting of own Events.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year's experience within Sales & Events.
