Senior Data Analyst

Osirian Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Regulatory Data Office (RDO) team in Macclesfield/Luton (Hybrid). As a key member of the RDO Analytics and Reporting team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports and dashboards, providing ad hoc expertise and advice in support of regulatory stakeholders, and ensuring delivery of analytical and reporting services in support of the Regulatory business.

  • Design and implement data models in relation to the analytics platform, including query and report optimization, data quality, and compliance.
  • Manage changes to the analytics platform, including impact assessments on the Oracle data model and existing reports, GxP documentation changes, and system test script development.
  • Develop data integration workflows using ETL platforms such as Snap Logic and/or Snowflake procedures.
  • Develop tactical solutions to solve acute business problems, such as data quality or compliance issues, using Microsoft Power Apps or similar low-code frameworks.
  • Develop advanced SQL and PL/SQL scripts to respond to business requirements.
  • Maintain and develop existing reports/dashboards and KPIs across various technical platforms, providing continuous improvement and customer support.
  • Provide analytical input to key performance metrics, internal and external benchmarks, compliance, and data quality issues, as well as responding to ad hoc business requirements.
  • Provide data modeling expertise, specifically integrating data across Regulatory Information Management (RIM) systems.
  • In liaison with quality managers, develop and maintain robust business and technical documentation, including GxP documentation, analytical outputs, visualization, data models, data flows, and training material.
  • Foster an Agile approach and lean methodology in the development of new and existing solutions and services.

Essential skills for the role:

  • In-depth knowledge of data model design and advanced SQL, preferably in Snowflake or Oracle environment (PL/SQL).
  • Data visualization experience with Power BI.
  • Experience from working in a regulated environment with proven ability to interpret and integrate complex data sets.
  • Experience in performance metrics & KPI's.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies for solutions implementation and system development.
  • Understanding of procedures, processes, and standards governing the submission and exchange of electronic information with health authorities worldwide.
  • Experience in using artificial intelligence (e.g., ML, NLP) to enable analytics services.
  • Advanced experience in Power BI DAX Scripting.
