About the Role: As an Academic Officer at Austin Fraser, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic journey and improving attendance rates. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing attendance strategies, engaging with students and their families, and analyzing attendance data to inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver attendance improvement programs, targeting specific student groups and populations
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and guardians to understand their needs and concerns
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, school leaders, and external partners to enhance student engagement and motivation
  • Analyze attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, using this information to inform strategic decisions
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and educational institutions
  • Produce regular attendance reports and present findings to relevant parties

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in attendance improvement or a related field
  • Deep understanding of safeguarding policies and legislation
  • Valid driving license and access to a car for work purposes
  • Business insurance for the use of a personal vehicle
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
