About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join People Plus Independent Living Services as a Support Worker/Personal Assistant. As a Community Enabler, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with cerebral palsy to access the local community and build their confidence and self-esteem.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the individual to access the local community with support, promoting independence and confidence

• Accompany the individual to meet up with friends, promoting social connections and friendships

• Encourage safety outside the home and confidence with travel, using a wheelchair and frame as needed

Requirements

• A patient and understanding individual who can provide support and assistance as needed

• A positive and can-do attitude, with a bubbly and easy-going manner

• A dependable and punctual individual who can commit to regular working hours

• A full driver's license is required for this role

What We Offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £13.50, plus mileage allowance

• Full training provided by the individual and their family

• Opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team at People Plus Independent Living Services

Working Arrangements

• Up to 20 hours per week, with additional hours to cover annual leave and sickness

• Salary paid on a calendar monthly basis

• Successful applicant will be subject to a three-month trial period and enhanced DBS police check
