About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing 24-hour care and support to two young boys, Alex and Chris, who require a stable and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the children's daily needs, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Encourage and facilitate the children's participation in activities, such as baking, outings, and hobbies.
- Monitor and record the children's progress, ensuring their plans are suitable for their needs.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the children, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
Requirements:
- Patience, compassion, and resilience in working with children who may have experienced trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- A driving license, with a willingness to transport the children to various locations.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleepovers, and be available for on-call duties.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and development, with a willingness to pursue a qualification in residential childcare.
