About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing 24-hour care and support to two young boys, Alex and Chris, who require a stable and nurturing environment to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the children in their daily lives, including their physical, emotional, and educational needs.
- Develop and maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children, ensuring their well-being and happiness.
- Work collaboratively with the children's care team to ensure their individual needs are met and their plans are implemented.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to the children, helping them to build resilience and confidence.
- Assist with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, household chores, and personal care.
- Engage in activities that promote the children's physical and emotional development, such as outdoor games, arts and crafts, and educational activities.
Requirements:
- Patience, compassion, and resilience, with the ability to work with children who may have experienced trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, colleagues, and external agencies.
- A driving license, with the ability to transport the children safely and efficiently.
- Flexibility, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
