About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to two young boys, Alex and Chris, who require 24-hour care and therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the children to have the best quality of life possible, including activities such as baking, fun days out, and holidays.
  • Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, monitoring their development and updating their plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including the children, their families, and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a strong and resilient team to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for the children.

Requirements:

  • Patience, compassion, and resilience to work with children who may have experienced trauma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with the children, their families, and other professionals.
  • A driving license to transport the children to various activities and appointments.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins, to provide 24-hour care and support.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.
