People Plus Independent Living Services is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker/Personal Assistant to join our team. As a Support Worker/Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with a genetic disorder to live independently and participate in community activities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Support the individual to develop their self-confidence, social skills, and personal safety through planned activities and outings.
- Assist the individual with daily tasks and provide emotional support as needed.
- Encourage the individual to express their views and make informed decisions through opportunities for building confidence and experiences.
- Enable the individual to become more independent from their parents and participate in activities of their choice.
**Requirements:**
- Patience and understanding of the individual's disability.
- A positive can-do attitude and a bubbly, easy-going manner.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- A full driver's license.
**What We Offer:**
- A competitive hourly rate of £13.50 plus mileage allowance.
- Full training provided by the individual and their family.
- A three-month trial period.
- An enhanced DBS police check at no cost to the successful applicant.
