Strategic People Change Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic People Change Manager to lead a large-scale restructure project for a public sector organisation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in organisational design and restructure, with expertise in engaging with key stakeholders and Trade Unions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the restructure project, working closely with existing HR Business Partners to advise on the re-design of current operating models, and reviewing proposed target operating models. They will also be responsible for carrying out consultations with employees and stakeholders of various levels regarding redundancies, redeployments and other impacts of the restructures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of organisational development and recruitment, with the ability to identify required interventions following the re-designs. They will also have excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the restructure project and ensuring its successful delivery
  • Working closely with existing HR Business Partners to advise on the re-design of current operating models
  • Reviewing proposed target operating models and completing job evaluations
  • Carrying out consultations with employees and stakeholders regarding redundancies, redeployments and other impacts of the restructures
  • Identifying required interventions following the re-designs

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in organisational design and restructure
  • Confident in engaging with key stakeholders and Trade Unions
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience working with or within the Public Sector

Skills and knowledge required:

  • Proactive and hands-on, with a strategic mindset and the ability to anticipate and respond to emerging issues
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Minimum of L5CIPD
