About the Role
The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced ECMO specialist nurse to join our Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit as a substantive Band 6 ECMO Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support our large nursing team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of the unit and lead a team of nurses in the delivery of patient care.
- Develop and implement ECMO protocols and guidelines to ensure best practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and reduce complications.
- Provide education and training to staff on ECMO-related topics.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to ECMO care.
