About the Role:

The Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse specialist to join our team as a Cardiothoracic Critical Care Specialist Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery and critical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide specialist care and support to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery and critical care.
  • To coordinate and lead the critical care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • To develop and implement education and training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in cardiothoracic critical care.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Critical Care or equivalent experience.
  • Registered Nurse with experience in cardiothoracic critical care.
  • ECMO specialist qualification.
  • Assessor/Mentor qualification.
