Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled UKAS RG2 Category 3 Inspection Engineer to join our team at Stork UK. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for conducting in-service plant inspections on major pressure systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Work Scopes in accordance with the Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR).
  • Develop inspection work scopes to satisfy the Written Schemes of Examination (WSE).
  • Conduct invasive visual examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE.
  • Interface with NDT teams to provide clarification on NDT inspection techniques.
  • Prepare high-quality inspection reports accurately describing the assets' condition.
  • Grade corrosion against company procedure corrosion scales and raise mandatory defects when limits are breached.
  • Review PRV certification and ensure devices are correctly set and overhauled/tested on a set frequency.
  • Participate in the Risk-Based Assessment programme for pressure systems equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have in-service inspection experience of process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and PRVs, as well as knowledge of accompanying design codes. You must also understand PSSR and have experience creating work scopes to carry out examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE.

You must meet the UKAS definition for Category 3 inspection engineers, which includes a minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant discipline, with at least one year spent working in an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.

  • API 570 Pipe Inspection certification.
  • API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection Certification.
  • API 653 Tank Inspection Certification.
  • EMMUA 159 Certification.
