Job Summary:This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established company in the asset integrity solutions industry. As a UKAS RG2 Category 3 Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting in-service plant inspections, preparing work scopes, and ensuring the integrity of major pressure systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare work scopes in accordance with the Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR) and Written Schemes of Examination (WSE).
- Conduct invasive visual examinations of major pressure systems, including process pipework, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, PRVs, and storage tanks.
- Interface with NDT teams to provide clarification on NDT inspection techniques and ensure integrity objectives are met.
- Prepare high-quality inspection reports, accurately describing the assets' condition and grading corrosion against company procedure corrosion scales.
- Review PRV certification, ensure devices are correctly set, and are overhauled/tested on a set frequency.
- Participate in the Risk-Based Assessment programme for pressure systems equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- In-service inspection experience of process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and PRVs, with knowledge of accompanying design codes.
- Understanding of PSSR and experience of creating work scopes to carry out examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE.
- Meet the UKAS definition for category 3 inspection engineers, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant discipline, including at least one year spent working in an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.
- ASME Plant Inspector Level 1/2 certification.
- API 570 Pipe Inspection certification.
- API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection Certification.
- API 653 Tank Inspection Certification.
- EMMUA 159 Certification.
