About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Specialist to join our team at Academics Ltd, working in an outstanding Special Education Needs (SEN) school in Reading.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, providing 1:1 and group support to ensure their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, promoting their engagement and participation in learning activities
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans
  • Support students in developing essential life skills, such as communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive school environment

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience working with children with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
