Emotional Support Assistant Role

Academics LTD is working with a specialist school in Maidenhead who provide highly skilled personal care for children aged 5 to 18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school is looking for a compassionate and positive Emotional Support Assistant to work alongside qualified SEN practitioners and psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Close work with external practitioners and psychologists to develop effective support strategies
  • Understanding of Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) principles and practices
  • Helping students develop emotional regulation and social skills through proactive and calm approaches
  • Demonstrated interest in working with children or in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Proactive, calm, and resilient individual with a passion for supporting vulnerable students

This is an excellent opportunity for Graduates looking to gain experience in an education setting, or someone who wants to work in psychology or Mental Health. No experience required. Recognised qualifications include Degree, Level 3 qualifications + or any other experience working with SEN children.
