We are seeking a Data Governance Strategist to join our team at AICPA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance Framework across the association.

About the Role:

This is a leadership position that requires expertise in data governance, information management, and project management. You will take the lead on providing data governance best practices to both IT and our multiple lines of business, and act as the facilitator of our data owner and steward community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, enforce, and improve the Data Governance strategy, framework, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor and enforce goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to data management.
  • Define a set of measures and metrics that provide both leading and lagging indicators of system user activity for compliance and value.
  • Lead on establishing best practice for data, including an association-wide taxonomy and data dictionary.
  • Work with team members to understand data requirements and promote awareness of data management requirements.
  • Identify control points to ensure data integrity and availability based on the data life cycle.
Requirements:
  • A postgraduate qualification in information management or data governance, or experience working within a complex business information process change/transformation effort(s).
  • An understanding of information management practices, including information lifecycle management, data modeling, and Master Data Management.
  • Experience implementing data governance programs in a global business.
  • A good understanding of agile project management methodology.
  • Ability to work with system users to elicit and formally define their requirements.
  • Experience using data integration technologies such as PowerBI and Atlan.
  • Experience leading data transformation projects preferably across multiple regions or products.
