About the Role

The Finance Team at Arup is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Newcastle. This key role involves collaborating with colleagues across the Finance department, ensuring accurate processing and input of supplier invoices and employee expenses while adhering to VAT and tax regulations.

We are looking for individuals who embody our values and can contribute to our shared success. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating staff expense claims and supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policy, tax, and VAT regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Validating staff expense claims and supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policy, tax, and VAT regulations;
  • Resolving internal and external queries related to financial transactions;
  • Managing incoming calls and reconciling supplier statements to maintain financial accuracy;
  • Recording journal entries and setting up new suppliers in our finance system;
  • Maintaining precise records of supplier and employee data.
