Job Title: Ambitious Culinary ApprenticeWe are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team as a Culinary Apprentice.The successful candidate will work a varied shift pattern that includes early, late, split shifts, and weekend working. Exact shifts will be confirmed.Salary: £24,029 (Real Living Wage)Kitchen Team Details:- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in our commercial kitchen environment.- Work on various sections of the kitchen, including pastry production, to develop culinary skills.- Ensure the kitchen area, equipment, and storage areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.Training and Development:- Participate in regular face-to-face and virtual catch-ups every 4-6 weeks to discuss progress and set goals.- Engage in on-the-job training, workshops, and webinars to enhance culinary knowledge and skills.- Regular reviews with your Line Manager and Apprentice Professional Trainer to track progress and identify areas for improvement.Career Progression:- Opportunities for career advancement may become available within Christ's College upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.Desirable Skills and Qualities:- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.- Attention to detail to maintain high-quality dishes and presentation.- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.- Good customer care skills to provide excellent dining experiences.- Effective presentation skills to showcase dishes and ideas.- Ability to work well in a team environment.Qualifications:- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 3/D) is desirable but not essential.
