Job Title: Comprehensive Culinary Team MemberWe are recruiting for an experienced kitchen professional to join our dynamic team as a Comprehensive Culinary Team Member.The successful candidate will work a varied shift pattern that includes early, late, split shifts, and weekend working. Exact shifts will be confirmed.Salary: £24,029 (Real Living Wage)Key Responsibilities:- Maintain impeccable hygiene and food safety standards in our busy commercial kitchen.- Work across all sections of the kitchen, including pastry production, to achieve consistent quality and presentation.- Ensure the kitchen area, equipment, and storage areas are kept spotless and organised at all times.Teamwork and Communication:- Develop strong relationships with colleagues in the kitchen team, Front of House, and external service providers.Training and Development:- Engage in regular face-to-face and virtual catch-ups every 4-6 weeks to discuss progress and goals.- Participate in on-the-job training, workshops, and webinars to enhance culinary knowledge and skills.- Regular reviews with your Line Manager and Apprentice Professional Trainer to track progress and identify areas for improvement.Career Advancement:- Opportunities for career progression may arise within Christ's College following successful completion of the apprenticeship.Essential Skills and Qualities:- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and customer interaction.- Attention to detail to deliver exceptional quality and presentation.- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.- Good customer care skills to provide outstanding dining experiences.- Effective presentation skills to showcase dishes and ideas.- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.Qualifications:- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 3/D) is preferred but not mandatory.
