Job Description:

Foster Care Recruitment and Assessment

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a workload of foster carer assessments across Tower Hamlets. You will adhere to clearly defined timescales and work in accordance with the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering Regulations 2011.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a workload of Foster Carer assessments across Tower Hamlets.
  • Support the Team Manager at targeted recruitment and information events.
  • Undertake initial visits to prospective foster carers.
  • Deliver the ‘Skills to Foster’ training with colleagues.
  • Present to Fostering Panels.
  • Undertake assessments of Connected Persons Foster Carers in accordance with the Care Planning and Case Review Regulations 2013.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Children’s Social Services within the UK.
  • Experienced Fostering SW, with a recruitment & assessment background.
