Child Welfare Social Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a Child Welfare Social Worker to join our team as a Foster Care Recruitment and Assessment Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a workload of foster carer assessments across Tower Hamlets and working in accordance with the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering Regulations 2011.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a workload of Foster Carer assessments across Tower Hamlets.
- Support the Team Manager at targeted recruitment and information events.
- Undertake initial visits to prospective foster carers.
- Deliver the ‘Skills to Foster’ training with colleagues.
- Present to Fostering Panels.
- Undertake assessments of Connected Persons Foster Carers in accordance with the Care Planning and Case Review Regulations 2013.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant frontline experience in Children’s Social Services within the UK.
- Experienced Fostering SW, with a recruitment & assessment background.
