Offshore HR Professional with Strategic Impact

About the Job
The Offshore HR Professional plays a pivotal role in Bluewater's Asset, driving end-to-end HR life cycle activities. Key responsibilities include recruitment and retention, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, talent management, payroll, compensation, and benefits.
This position requires strong relationships with managers and employees to deliver a professional, value-added HR service. The successful candidate will support the annual HR cycle, including performance management and compensation and benefits, identifying areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees to ensure delivery of a professional HR service.
- Support the annual HR cycle, including performance management and compensation and benefits.
- Provide offshore payroll input to the payroll team.
- Administer employee benefit schemes in conjunction with benefit brokers.
- Participate in developing HR processes and policies, embedding and communicating them across the business.
- Offer advice on people management aspects of teams, providing development and legislative guidance.
- Manage long-term and complex absence, liaising with occupational health providers and scheduling medicals as needed.
- Manage complex employee relations issues that pose significant risk to the organization.
- Lead the permanent offshore recruitment and selection process to fill vacancies efficiently.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies for temporary personnel placement, ensuring they have necessary experience and training.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date HR files within HRIS and other systems.
- Attend bi-weekly offshore management/HR meetings.
- Support manpower budgeting and forecasting requests, ensuring safe manning levels.
- Coordinate monthly headcount and statistics.
- Collaborate with the HR Co-ordinator on offshore training and participate in training audits.
- Provide HR assistance to the Emergency response organization, participating in the HR on-call duty team.
- Conduct ad-hoc project work as agreed with Corporate HR.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable operational offshore HR advisory experience, preferably in crew management, minimum manning, and emergency response roles.
- A degree in Human Resources or CIPD Level 5 qualification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, complex case management, and offshore training requirements.
- Familiarity with HR Systems and Metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
- Problem-solving skills, evaluating problems from different viewpoints.
- Organisation and time management skills, particularly in fast-paced environments.
- A proactive approach to HR as a value-add function.
