Job Title: Deputy Depot Driver Team Leader

At Leader Online Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Depot Driver Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our transportation operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Support the Depot Team Leader in supervising and motivating a team of drivers to meet performance targets and objectives.
  • Operational Management: Collaborate with driver agencies to ensure cover for all areas of daily runs, including timesheet checks, and coordinate with the Transport Planner to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Safety and Compliance: Conduct all activities in a manner that promotes the Health and Safety of yourself and all colleagues, and ensure all vehicles are safe and compliant.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a FLT operator and hold a current FLT operating certificate.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the transport or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with transportation management systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
