About the Role:

This Psychological Therapist Leader role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated team of mental health professionals at Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced therapist to lead our Child Mental Health Service, providing specialist assessment and treatment to children and young people with mental health problems.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with vulnerable and care experienced children, young people, families, and carers in health or local authority settings.

This role involves providing consultation, teaching, training to health and local authority colleagues and psychological assessment and intervention to young people who present with a range of risks and needs.

The estimated salary for this role is around £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As a Psychological Therapist Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing highly specialist psychological assessment of young people with highly complex conditions based on the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of data from a variety of sources.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each patient.
  • Leading a team of mental health professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients.
