Clinical Lead

Job Summary:
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in an urgent care setting. This will involve autonomously assessing and treating patients with complex and chronic illnesses, as well as providing clinical expertise to less experienced staff.
Main Duties:
- Undertake highly specialized clinical assessments, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients with a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries.
- Ensure patients are fully involved in the design and implementation of their treatment plans.
- Ensure effective coordination and liaison with multidisciplinary teams across Primary and Secondary Care Services.
- Refer appropriately to clinical leads where a second opinion is required.
- Adapt styles of communication to promote empowerment, self-management, and health education for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, in line with regulatory standards and ABC policies.
- Work within local protocols, guidelines, and PGDs.
- Participate in audits and use results to make recommendations for changes to service delivery and clinical practice.
- Contribute to the development and establishment of systems to gather feedback from patients.
