About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Assistant Technical Officer (SATO) to join our Pharmacy Dispensary Team at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ordering and dispensing medications for in-patients and those being discharged from hospital.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Essential qualifications include English and Maths GCSE grade C or above, NVQ and Btec level 2 in Pharmacy Services, and completion of a recognised OTC sales course.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ordering and dispensing medications
  • Working as a team member and on an individual basis
  • Joining ward-based teams to ensure inpatients have the medication they need

Requirements:

  • English and Maths GCSE grade C or above

Working Pattern: Monday 12:30 to 17:30, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 to 17:30 with weekend and Bank Holiday work as part of a rotation.

Salary: £24,071 - £25,674 per annum pro rata.
