Financial Operations Assistant

Fawkes and Reece, a leading regional contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join their growing finance department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to develop their skills and expertise in financial operations, working closely with a comprehensive and experienced finance team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the finance team, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and procedures. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Logging payments through banking systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Providing exceptional customer service to both internal staff and external clients
  • Preparing monthly financial reports for the board, highlighting key trends and insights
  • Assisting with contract management and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Monitoring credit control and ensuring timely payment from clients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum qualification in accountancy, such as A-levels or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction sector
  • Strong customer service skills, both written and verbal
  • A willingness to learn and develop their skill set
  • A proactive approach to workload and an eye for detail
  • A supportive and team-player nature
