Electronics Design Engineer Role

Our client, a leading Electronics Corporation, is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for the design and development of high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Liaise with customers to agree on unit specifications and ensure products meet their requirements.
  • Design and develop high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment to agreed specifications, with a focus on high stability, low noise, and fast polarity reversing.
  • Investigate and research new design techniques to improve product performance and efficiency.
  • Accurately document designs to enable full manufacturing packages to be created or amended.
  • Meet agreed time-scales for tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Ensure products comply with all current legal and regulatory requirements, avoiding the use of components, materials, or substances that present a threat to the environment.
  • Assume ownership of assigned projects from conception to completion, providing continued support while in service.
  • Contribute to the Company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and Health and Safety management systems, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with current regulations and procedures, and their impact on design.
  • Experience with UC design, analogue control/systems, and PCB layout and mechanical packaging is desirable.
  • Ability to follow formal design procedures and methodologies in accordance with ISO 9001:2000.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and self-motivated, with a minimum of supervision required.
