Electronics Design Engineer Job Description

Location: Pulborough

Our client is a leading Electronics Corporation, designing and building essential components for various industries. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment.

Main Objectives:

  • Design and develop high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment to agreed specifications.
  • Investigate/research new design techniques to improve product performance.
  • Accurately document the design to enable full manufacturing packages to be created or amended.
  • Meet agreed time-scales for a task or project.
  • Ensure products are compliant to all current legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers to agree unit specifications.
  • Design and develop high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment.
  • Investigate/research new design techniques.
  • Accurately document the design.
  • Meet agreed time-scales.
  • Ensure product compliance.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of up-to-date components, technology, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge of current regulations and procedures.
  • Experience of UC design with respect to analogue control/systems desirable.
  • Understanding of constraints of PCB layout and mechanical packaging.
  • Ability to follow formal design procedures and methodologies.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
