Electronics Design Engineer

Join our client, a world-leading Electronics Corporation, as an Electronics Design Engineer and contribute to the design and development of high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Liaise with customers to agree on unit specifications and ensure products meet their requirements.
  • Design and develop high voltage power conversion products and associated equipment to agreed specifications, adhering to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and Health and Safety management systems.
  • Investigate and research new design techniques to improve product stability, reduce noise, and enhance performance.
  • Accurately document designs to enable full manufacturing packages to be created or amended.
  • Meet agreed time-scales for tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Ensure products comply with current legal and regulatory requirements, avoiding the use of components, materials, or substances that present a threat to the environment.
  • Assume ownership of assigned projects from conception to completion, providing continued support while in service.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in a relevant discipline, such as electronics or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in high voltage power conversion design and development.
  • Knowledge of current regulations and procedures affecting design.
  • Experience with UC design, analogue control, and systems would be desirable.
  • Understanding of PCB layout and mechanical packaging constraints.
  • Ability to follow formal design procedures and methodologies in accordance with ISO 9001:2000.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
