Macildowie Recruitment and Retention is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Specialist to join a dynamic team on a permanent basis, supporting directorates within the organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist HR support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring timely payroll processing, overseeing recruitment, absence management, staff wellbeing, and induction processes. You will also take a lead role in HR projects and policy development, ensuring compliance and maintaining high-quality standards throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding processes for assigned schools.
  • Project Leadership: Lead key HR projects, including recruitment strategies, payroll processes, and policy reviews.
  • Staff Absence Management: Implement and manage staff absence policies, providing support for short and long-term absences, and ensuring effective record keeping.
  • Compliance: Ensure all HR practices comply with organisation policies and statutory requirements, including safeguarding protocols.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate HR records, support payroll processes, and supervise the HR administrative function.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Prior experience working in a HR Administration capacity.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of HR practices, including recruitment, absence management, and employee relations. Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Qualifications: CIPD qualification (or working towards) preferred.
  • Attributes: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
