Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for groundworks and civil engineering projects
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure timely deliveries to meet project schedules
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines
  • Collaborate closely with the project and site teams to forecast material needs and prevent supply delays
  • Work with the commercial team to ensure procurement aligns with project budgets
  • Monitor stock levels and manage reorders, ensuring waste is minimised and resources are optimised
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and new products in the civil engineering and construction sectors

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist in the groundworks or residential groundworks sector
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and systems
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
