About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employer Relationship Manager to join our team at Get Set UK. As an Employer Relationship Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating opportunities for our job-seeking customers by building strong relationships with employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactive Outreach: Engage in proactive outreach to secure interviews for our participants with employers.
  • Sector Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of various sectors, particularly those offering entry-level employment, such as retail and hospitality.
  • Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs analysis to build strong connections between candidates and employers.
  • Employer Relationships: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with employers through consistent communication, including regular meetings and updates.
  • Business Development: Actively source employers through leads and networking, driving commercial growth and new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Employment Advisors to promote current vacancies and upcoming opportunities.
  • In-Work Support: Provide regular in-work support to employers, tracking participants' progress in the workplace and addressing any challenges that may arise.
  • Disability Confident: Inspire employers to achieve the 'Disability Confident' award, supporting them on their journey to Level 1.
  • Awareness: Raise awareness among employers about our vision of equal opportunities and values.
  • Customer Recruitment Journey: Inspire customers into employment within our employer network, creating a precise and empowering recruitment journey.
  • Workshops: Organize employer-led workshops for our customers to prepare them for interviews and improve their employability skills.
  • Feedback: Provide quality feedback to customers, helping them grow and prepare for the work environment.
  • Interview Support: Be present at interviews to support customers in their recruitment journey and provide guidance on how to present themselves effectively.
  • Employment Retention: Secure evidence of employment retention at both 13 and 26 weeks from the employer.
  • Customer Success: Offer support and foster sustainability in employment through best practices and overcoming barriers.
  • Networking: Boost our vision and strategy through networking and promotion at stakeholders' events, including job fairs and industry conferences.
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain effective market intelligence through affiliation with network groups and industry associations.
Requirements
  • Skills and Experience: Proven track record and strong understanding of employer recruitment, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Empathetic and Supportive: Genuine interest in helping people and understanding their challenges, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail in managing employer relationships and documentation, with a high level of organizational skills.
  • Organised: Efficiently manages multiple tasks and responsibilities, with a strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive: Takes initiative in addressing employer needs and identifying opportunities for improvement, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Problem-Solver: Analyses problems and proposes effective solutions, with a strong ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Team Player: Collaborates effectively with colleagues and external partners, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.

  • Experienced: Previous experience in a recruitment or employment advisory role, preferably within the welfare-to-work sector.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals seeking employment and the resources available to support them.
  • Technology: Proficient with data management systems and modern communication tools, including MS Office.
  • Ambitious and Resourceful: Shows innovation in supporting customers and confidence in a target-driven environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
