Job Title: Head of Data Centre Design

Our client, a leading data centre services provider, is seeking an experienced Head of Data Centre Design to join their team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design of data centres from all aspects, with a focus on mechanical design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the creation of design documentation, including drawings, specs, and reports.
  • Create, embed, and roll out a standardized design process, taking into consideration site-specific design inputs, constraints, assumptions, and requirements.
  • Implement and maintain quality controls for all design outputs.
  • Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance to DC design best practice and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the design team.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and tech assessments for new projects.
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation.
  • Provide regular reports on design progress, risks, and issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in data centre design management.
  • Deep and broad knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and security systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
