Head of Data Centre Design

We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Centre Design to join our team in London. As a key member of our data centre services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design of our data centre infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the creation of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Develop and implement a standardized design process, taking into account site-specific design inputs, constraints, assumptions, and requirements.
  • Work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to provide insight into potential cost implications arising from project and design-based development.
  • Implement and maintain quality controls for all design outputs.
  • Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance to data centre design best practice and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the design team.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation.
  • Provide regular reports on design progress, risks, and issues.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in data centre design management.
  • Deep and broad knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and security systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
