About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Director, Data Centre Infrastructure to join our team at Amazon Data Services UK Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centre sites
  • Train and support the Engineering team in electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations
  • Implement and execute site or equipment-specific training exercises
  • Oversee the design and build-out of new facilities and perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data centre region
  • Work OT hours as needed to support site stability
About You

We're looking for someone with extensive industry-related experience and in-depth knowledge of UPS, backup generator systems, and generic mechanical-room infrastructure. You should be able to manage large-scale projects and have experience working in a 24/7 environment.
