Contract Type: Permanent
Role Summary
This role involves being part of a central mobile team that operates across designated Early Learning and Childcare environments, including schools and partner organizations. The primary objective is to enhance and elevate the quality of Early Learning and Childcare services within the Scottish Borders Council, particularly in areas where children encounter significant challenges, under the guidance of the Improvement and Support Officer.
Qualifications and Requirements
• BA in Childhood Practice or SCQF Level 9 Professional Development Award;
• HNC in Early Education and Childcare/SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) (SCQF Level 7) or an equivalent qualification;
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing professional education.
It is essential to register with the SSSC within six months of commencing employment. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are also mandatory for this position. If you have a disability that prevents you from obtaining a driver's license, Scottish Borders Council will consider its obligations to make reasonable adjustments to facilitate your ability to fulfill the travel requirements of the role.
