Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Graduate to join our team as an Equity and Excellence Lead at Lundavra Primary School in Fort William.


This is a 30-hour per week, permanent position with a salary of £32,000 to £35,000 per annum, paid over 52 weeks of the year.


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing additional support to children who need it most, with a focus on closing the attainment gap and promoting cognitive development.


The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood learning and development, with expertise in developing high-quality relationships and interactions with children to promote wellbeing and extend thinking and concept development.


As an Equity and Excellence Lead, you will contribute towards our wider programme to reduce inequality and promote diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide additional support to children who need it most to close the attainment gap and promote cognitive development

Requirements:



  • Hold or be in the final year of study of BA Childhood Practice, PDA, Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Studies or other relevant qualification
  • Current full GTCs registration in Primary Teaching
  • HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF 7
  • SVQ Level 3 Social Services Children and Young People at SCQF 7 and prepared to study to degree level within an agreed timescale
