New Opportunities for Occupational Therapists

We are inviting applications from motivated occupational therapists to join our community mental health team in Cornwall.

This role presents a chance to work collaboratively with our system partners to enhance mental health services, focusing on acute care pathways and specialist services aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan.

You will have the opportunity to create and implement innovative care solutions tailored to the needs of the people of Cornwall.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Promote and maintain the occupational therapy role within the Community Mental Health Team, including individual and group work.
  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy to patients within the Community Mental Health Service, utilizing evidence-based practices and client-centered approaches.
  • Work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Support the development of the Trust Occupational Therapy Service and promote best practices.
  • Contribute to the growth of the occupational therapy support worker role within the team.

Required Qualifications and Experience:Education:
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational therapy.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or relevant specialist experience (e.g., AMPS, Sensory Integration, DBT).
Work Experience:
  • Experience working within community-based multidisciplinary teams.
  • Current experience in a mental health setting.

Estimated Annual Salary: £38,000 - £49,500
