New SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Cheshire West

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Cheshire West. As a SEND specialist, you will work with students who have been permanently or are at risk of being excluded from mainstream schools.

About the Role

This is a temporary contract opportunity with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role following a successful induction and perfect attendance. To be successful in this role, you must have experience working within SEND environments and possess strong knowledge on how to promote behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons in accordance with curriculum requirements and teacher instructions.
  • Possess and maintain a deep and secure knowledge of your subject and be open to trying a more hands-on approach to the curriculum.
  • Create a challenging and stimulating classroom climate that motivates pupils to learn, think independently, empathise with others, and perform to the best of their abilities.
  • Be aware of the learning needs of the pupils you teach and ensure each student is given every opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Requirements
  • Strong classroom management skills or experience within SEND environments.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness).
