Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as an autonomous and responsible Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) alongside offering supervision within the scope of the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with schools to deliver a range of mental health interventions within school settings, including group work and direct work with children/young people.
  • Offer mental health-based consultation and advice to teaching staff.
  • Ensure the effective co-ordination of clinical care provided within schools, considering safeguarding and clinical risk issues where indicated.
  • Contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision and caseload management to trainee and qualified EMHPs.
  • Be responsible for the clinical skills supervision and caseload management supervision of EMHPs in the MHST.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working in mental health settings and a strong understanding of the MHST initiative. They will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality mental health services and a passion for working with children and young people.
