Job Title: Supervisor for Education Mental Health Practitioners

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor for Education Mental Health Practitioners to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and delivery of mental health services in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) in their work with children and young people in educational settings.
  • Develop and implement effective supervision strategies to ensure the safe and effective delivery of mental health services.
  • Work collaboratively with EMHPs, schools, and other stakeholders to develop and implement mental health interventions and strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to mental health services in educational settings.
  • Provide training and support to EMHPs on mental health-related topics and best practices.
Requirements:
  • EMHP Supervisor Qualification
  • LI CBT EMHP qualification
  • Awareness and commitment to developing a working knowledge of anti-oppressive practice
Desirable:
  • Two years experience within an MHST
  • Knowledge of the education system in England
  • Working knowledge of the make-up of the wider health and social care community, including statutory and non-statutory services and experience of multi-agency working.
