Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate

The University of Liverpool is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our interdisciplinary research team working on an innovative project aimed at enhancing first-person navigation in challenging environments using acoustics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop a sensor system using infrasound and ultrasound to facilitate navigation in closed spaces.
  • Propose and implement different sensor systems based on various settings and scenarios of navigation in closed environments.
  • Collaborate with a second team developing navigation systems and integrating sensing data into a head-mounted Augmented Reality system.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
