About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Character Modeler to join our team at DNEG Feature Animation. As a key member of our Modelling Department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D character models that meet the highest standards of our productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement 3D character models that meet the artistic and technical requirements of our productions.
  • Collaborate with our Modelling Lead/Supervisor to ensure the quality and technical viability of character models.
  • Work closely with our development artists and Character TDs to convert designs into builds.
  • Deliver outstanding models both creatively and technically, ensuring adherence to our DNEG Animation production pipeline protocols.
  • Participate in project-specific reviews/discussions, department assembly, and other mandatory meetings.
Requirements
  • Production experience as a Character Modeller.
  • Ability to work effectively with our Modelling Lead/Supervisor to ensure the quality and technical viability of character models.
  • Strong communication skills when working as part of a large team.
  • Experience working on high-level Animated content.
  • Ability to learn and become familiar with our Modelling Dept workflows and pipeline tools.

  • Team-oriented and able to adapt to changing requirements or briefs.
