National Account Manager (Grocery) Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven National Account Manager (Grocery) to join our global Spirits distribution business. This permanent position will be based in Greater Manchester, within a commutable distance to key clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with selected grocery accounts.
  • Regularly report to the Head of Off-Trade, ensuring alignment with the business's wider Off-Trade strategy.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and drive business growth within key retailers.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of client operations to navigate and influence decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of account plans and promotions.
  • Monitor and analyze account performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize results.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in grocery account management, ideally within the spirits or broader beverage industry.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively with major grocery retailers.
  • In-depth understanding of grocery operations and key decision-making processes.
  • Ability to work closely with internal teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth and delivering results.
