Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Real-Time Optimization professional to join our team at MatchaTalent. As a key member of our Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) team, you will provide expert guidance and support to optimize refinery operations using real-time optimization technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement real-time optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze data from various sources to identify improvement opportunities and implement advanced process control strategies.
  • Lead the development of new strategies, feasibility studies, and business cases to optimize refinery operations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, operators, and vendors to develop and implement real-time optimization solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot real-time optimization systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in real-time optimization techniques and technologies to continuously improve refinery operations.
  • Provide technical support and training on real-time optimization systems and processes to engineers, operators, and other personnel.
  • Perform periodic assessments and evaluations to gauge the performance and effectiveness of real-time optimization solutions.
  • Identify and address potential safety, environmental, and reliability risks associated with real-time optimization processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement long-term improvement plans for refinery operations.
  • Conduct benchmarks, business case studies, and pilot evaluations of new advanced process control technologies.
  • Lead technical sessions, such as design reviews, model reviews, and commissioning.
  • Assess plant operations and recommend actions for improvements and system optimization.
  • Review standards and General Instructions for the GME departments and act as a leading Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Requirements

  • This role requires a candidate to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Advanced Process Control or Real-Time Optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced process control solutions and refinery economics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities, feedstock/product movements, margins, giveaways, process yields, and mass and energy balances.
  • Familiarity with international standards and specifications for advanced process control, process modeling.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.
